Yep....I’m gonna give it a try..... picked up my parts from Alex last week. Beautiful framework! Welds and everything looks excellent!!!
Just installed wheels and beginning seat locations.... etc.
I thought I’d give a Yamahaha a try.... but so far..... looks like I may have a cracked block. Going to pressure test to see if it’s truly a crack. .....might be looking for other engine options!! Hmmmmm turboprop???? Antigravity flux capacitor?????........ a bunch of hungry rabbits on a drive belt???

Well what did you find out?
Barry, I am sure that if the engine has a crack in it Alex will make it right with another engine.

..... Yamahaha does not have a crack.... just a casting mark.
Yes, Alex showed me a few with the identical mark. All the carburetor engines have that exact same mark. I bet Yamaha got a million calls on that one from mechanics and customers.
The machine is looking good! I suspect without the body weight it will be a real rocket. Fortunately, 60mph is a nice, "fluffy" speed for a Tango and you can fly it there without getting neck cramps from the lack of windscreen.
It is just the carburetor cases for the 3 cylinder 2007-2011 engines from a particular casting factory that have the mark. It isn't a flaw exactly, just a casting artifact that could look like a crack in the right light with unfortunate dirt shadows around it. There is nothing physically wrong with the case, it just appears there could be.
Lookin" good Barry!! I think you will like it.
I heard this engine got swapped out for a Viking? Or is the Viking on another gyro? I'm confused.
Word is that machine has a Viking engine. Be not confused.
