I am still holding the line at $40.00/ slot. It remains an exercise in deficit spending, but I think that shortly it will be a zero sum game again unless something changes.
I really do mean to keep it at $40.00 unless something changes with the county and my lease or the club suddenly evaporates. I am willing to take a small hit for the benefit of having available hangar space and room for growth.
If there were nothing but gyros in the hangar, it would fairly easy to fit 16 gyros, creating a situation where each gyro can easily be moved in-and-out without moving anyone else's gyro.
It might even be possible to squeeze 1 or 2 more in that way, while retaining easy ingress and egress, but that remains to be seen.
As it stands now, given 16 potential gryos, the space of about 1 gyro is consumed with the build/work area, and Jon uses about 3 spots for the Bonanza and his Tango.
So, that means there are easily a dozen usable slots. Last time I was there, there were about 10 or 11 paid, or recently paid spots as I understand it, but as Jon alluded, some are transient/temporary and will be moving out.
Note: This is not to mention that numerous more gyros could be fit in the middle, depending on how much hangar tenants cared to get into moving the center gyros around to move their own gyro in-and-out.
All this being said, everything the rest of us can do to keep those 12+ slots filled will help Jon break even in value compared with what he is paying.

So are you thinking $50-$60 a month moving forward?

It breaks down kind of like this:

So... have gyro, come on down!
