When Bensens and Other Stick-built Gyroplanes Roamed the Earth

It may seem a long time ago, but it was only a decade or so ago that there were few, if any,  Eurotubs like MTO, Magni, Tango, ELA and others in the US airspace.  Those were the days when MAC engines were the dominant species and Rotax was that "new guy on the block."  Auto engines seemed to be the answer for higher horsepower alternatives.  The stick-built aluminum gyro was king....and Peach State was around to sing, "Long Live the King."

It has been mentioned that some of the older videos of Peach State Rotorcraft when it was in Rome, GA (KRMG) might be interesting to those of a historic leaning.  I have several, and will post a few.

Wasn't that long ago.

A lot has changed in the last 10 years.   Thanks for re-posting the videos Jon.

It's a shame that so many of those guys who called Rome have all but called it quits... club-wise.
