Fixed-Wing Incident at Cedartown

The FAA is now onsite at Cedartown Airport investigating a crash between a Twin Otter (jump plane) and a single-engine aerobatic plane.  Nobody was badly hurt, but the aerobatic plane was badly damaged and there was significant damage to the jump plane.  The accident was a runway incursion incident.  Since this accident is under investigation, no additional information will be provided at this time.

FAA investigators may be onsite for an unspecified period.  It is reasonable to expect them to be around off and on beyond the scope of this investigation.  Runway incursion accidents are at the top of issues on the hit list for the FAA currently.
