Cedartown Here We Come, Damn the Virus Full Speed Ahead!

Scott McNeil is coming by in the morning at the crack of dawn (thank god it's not he crack of the plumber's butt) to pick me up and drive us to that world famous hot spot of Southern gyrocoptery CEDARTOWN!  Yee- HAH!  Cain't wait to be sky-bound instead of Earth bound, for a welcome change of bugs n skenery.

Fire that bad boy up, LET'S RIDE!  Getting my bi-annual with Jon so I can test fly the new Mohawk (MAC) bestie Beastie, the 160HP Apex EXUP with titanium valved exhaust.

This Air Command tandem belonging to Geoff Resney of CH 18 in Indiana is soon to become the world's most powerful 4-stroke gyroplane flying to date, pound-for-pound.  I say 4-stroke, because I think any 90HP Bensen Macs that are still flying like Gary Goldsberry's probably top it out in HP/ Lb.

A Youtube is up with the engine running up to 5000 RPM the first time I started it.  I've revved it up to 9000 RPM, but the brakes and chocks wouldn't hold anymore and I had to shut it down until I get it properly secured for pull tests and prop tuning.

Here's a taste.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oZqrSs3RpHQ

Bonus: here's the latest video of the MAC YG2 80HP Quicksilver float plane in action, recorded a couple of weeks ago in New Orleans.

Our trip to 4A4

WOW!  INCREDIBLE!!!  THere were at least nine gyrocopter dudes at the hanger when Scott M. and I were there for Jon's tutelege and a day under the sun talking hanger shop.  It was almost like a club meet!  We certainly had a quorum.

So good to be back and see my friends :)
